In the first three quarters, Iran&#8217;s direct reduced iron production was second only to India at 22.187 million tons, up 5.2% year-on-year, the largest increase in production among the 12 countries, however, its production in September is estimated to have dropped 12.9% year-on-year to 2.3 million tons. In the first three quarters, Qatar&#8217;s direct reduced iron production fell 63.8% year-on-year to 638,000 tons, including production of 47,000 tons in September, down 79.2% year-on-year. In the first three quarters, Argentina&#8217;s direct reduced iron production fell 55.4% year-on-year to 358,000 tons, including production of 13,000 tons in September, down 89.8% year-on-year. In the first three quarters, Venezuela&#8217;s direct reduced iron production was 219,000 tons, down 36.2% year-on-year, including production in September estimated at 20,000 tons, down 29.3% year-on-year. In the first three quarters, Canada&#8217;s direct reduced iron production was 766,000 tons, down 32.1% year-on-year, including production of 121,000 tons in September, down 17.3% year-on-year.
