Galvanized sheets applications

Galvanized sheets

  • ① Dipping galvanised steel sheet. A thin steel sheet that is dipped into a molten zinc bath so that a layer of zinc adheres to its surface. Currently mainly produced using the continuous galvanising process, whereby rolls of steel are continuously dipped into a molten zinc bath to make galvanised steel sheets.
    ② Alloyed galvanised steel sheet. This type of steel is also manufactured by the hot dipping method, but immediately after leaving the bath it is heated to around 500 °C to produce an alloy of zinc and iron. This type of galvanised steel has good paint adhesion and weldability.
    (iii) Electro-galvanised steel sheet. This galvanised steel sheet is manufactured by the electroplating method and has good workability. However, the coating is thin and the corrosion resistance is not as good as that of galvanised sheet by the hot dip method.
  • ④ Single-sided galvanised and double-sided poorly galvanised steel sheets. Single-sided galvanised steel sheet, i.e. a product that is only galvanised on one side. It has better adaptability than double-sided galvanised sheet in terms of welding, painting, rust-proof treatment and processing.
    To overcome the shortcomings of uncoated zinc on one side, there is another type of galvanised steel coated with a thin layer of zinc on the other side, i.e. double-sided differential galvanised steel.
    ⑤ Alloy, composite galvanised steel sheet. It is made of zinc and other metals such as lead, zinc made of alloy or even composite plating into the steel sheet. This type of steel sheet has both excellent anti-rust properties and good painting properties.
Galvanized sheets applications
  • Color galvanized steel plate, printing coated galvanized steel plate, PVC laminated galvanized steel plate, etc. But the most commonly used is still hot dip galvanized sheets.
    Galvanized steel plate can be divided into general use, roof use, building outer plate use, structure use, wall board use, tensile and deep punching galvanized steel plate.

According to the production and processing methods can be divided into the following categories:

  • (1) hot dip galvanized steel plate. A sheet of steel is dipped into a molten zinc bath so that it adheres to a sheet of zinc on its surface. At present, the continuous galvanizing process is mainly used for production, that is, the steel plate into a roll of continuous immersion in the melting of zinc plating tank made of galvanized steel plate;
    (2) alloyed galvanized steel plate. This steel plate is also made by hot dip, but immediately after the trough, it is heated to about 500℃, so that it generates an alloy film of zinc and iron. This galvanized sheets has good coating tightness and weldability;
    (3) electric galvanized steel plate. The production of galvanized steel plate by electroplating has good machinability. But the coating is thin, corrosion resistance is not as good as hot dip galvanized sheets;

  • (4) single-sided plating and double-sided difference galvanized steel plate. Single-sided galvanized steel, that is, galvanized only on one side of the product. In welding, coating, rust treatment, processing and other aspects, it has better adaptability than double-sided galvanized sheets. In order to overcome the shortcomings of single side not coated with zinc, and a galvanized sheets coated with a thin layer of zinc on the other side, that is, double-sided difference galvanized sheets;
    (5) alloy, composite galvanized steel plate. It is made of zinc and other metals such as lead, zinc alloy or composite plated steel plate. This kind of steel plate has excellent anti-rust performance and good coating performance.
    In addition to the above five, there are color galvanized steel, printing coated galvanized steel, PVC laminated galvanized steel and so on. But the most commonly used is still hot dip galvanized sheets. Galvanized steel plate can be divided into general use, roof use, building outer plate use, structure use, wall board use, tensile and deep punching galvanized steel plate.
