In June 2022, the output of crude steel was 158.1 billion tons, a year -on -year decrease of 5.9%

In June 2022, the World Steel Association (Worldsteel) report showed that the world’s crude steel output of 64 countries was 158.1 million tons (MT), a decrease of 5.9%compared with June 2021.

 

From January to June 2022, the global crude steel output was 949.4 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 5.5%, of which 526.9 billion tons in China, a decrease of 6.5%year-on-year.

Crude steel output in various regions

Africa produced 1.2 tons in June 2022, a decrease of 18.7%from June 2021. Asia and Oceania produced 118.8 tons, a decrease of 3.1%. The EU (27) produced 11.8 metric tons, a decrease of 12.2%. The output of Europe and other regions was 3.8 metric tons, a decrease of 10.9%. The output of the Middle East was 3.4 metric tons, a decrease of 5.0%. The output of North America was 9.6 metric tons, a decrease of 2.4%. Russia and other CIS+Ukrainian output were 5.9 tons, a decrease of 34.3%. South America’s output is 3.7 metric tons, a decrease of 4.9%.

Crude steel output in the first half of the country

A few days ago, data from the National Bureau of Statistics showed that from January to June, the national crude steel output was 526.88 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 6.5%.

From the perspective of provincial data, in the first half of 2022, the output of crude steel in 10 provinces and cities in the first half of the year decreased by more than 10%. Among them, Shandong dropped 19.34%, Henan dropped 10.87%, Sichuan decreased 16.28%, Yunnan decreased 11.62%, Tianjin fell 13.51%, Jilin decreased 11.56%, Shanghai dropped 19.41%, Zhejiang dropped by 12.83%, Chongqing dropped 20.90%and Guizhou fell by 20.32% Essence

10 major steel producers

China produced 90.7 tons in June 2022, a 3.3%decrease from June 2021. India produced 10.0 tons, an increase of 6.3%. Japan produced 7.4 metric tons, a decrease of 8.1%. The US output was 6.9 metric tons, a decrease of 4.2%. It is estimated that Russia’s output is 5.0 metric tons, a decrease of 22.2%. South Korea’s estimated output is 5.6 metric tons, a decrease of 6.0%. Germany produced 3.2 metric tons, a decrease of 7.0%. The output of Turkey was 2.9 metric tons, a decrease of 13.1%. It is estimated that Brazil’s output is 2.9 metric tons, a decrease of 6.1%. It is estimated that Iran’s output is 2.2 metric tons, a decrease of 10.8%.
