The processing technology of wire is basic speed

Wire refers to the diameter of 5-22mm hot rolled round steel or equivalent to this section of the special-shaped steel, because of delivery in the form of coil, it is also known as wire rod. Common wire product specifications are 5-13mm in diameter.

The processing technology of wire is basic speed
  • The high wire is rolled on the high speed wire mill, with fast production rhythm, large disc (the coil element in the package is usually the whole one, the maximum weight can reach 2500kg), and the packaging is usually tight and beautiful.
The high line refers to the wire rod rolled by “high speed twistless mill”. Rolling speed in 80-160 m/s, each weight (disc) in 1.8-2.5 tons, high dimensional tolerance accuracy (up to 0.02mm), in the rolling process by adjusting the process parameters (especially in the cooling line) to ensure the different requirements of the product.
  • General line refers to the strip rolled by “ordinary mill (generally horizontal double double mill)”. Rolling speed 20-60 m/s, each weight (disk) in 0.4-0.6 tons (generally seen in the market is three root six head for a large plate), in the rolling process can only be through the cooling line air cooling or air cooling to ensure product performance. General line is rolled by ordinary rolling mill, generally the plate weight is small, a package is usually packaged by several sections of the plate, the package is loose, messy. Ordinary wire bundling machine has been listed as backward capacity, will be phased out.

The characteristic of wire is section is small, length is big, demand to dimensional accuracy and surface quality is taller. The main rolling processes are:

speed

  1. The billet of billet wire is mainly continuous casting billet, its side length is generally 120~150mm, and its length is generally about 6~ 12m. In practical production, the quality of continuous casting billet is inspected by visual inspection, electromagnetic induction inspection and ultrasonic inspection.
  2. Stepping furnace is generally used for heating. The requirements of heating are less oxidation and decarburization, no distortion of billet, no overheating and burning. The large and long blank of modern high-speed wire mill requires uniform heating temperature and small temperature fluctuation range.
  3. The section of rolled wire is relatively single, so the mill has a high degree of specialization. As the billet to the finished product, the total extension is larger, so the number of rolling mills is more, generally 21~28, divided into rough, medium and finishing mill groups. At present, the exit speed of high-speed wire mill has reached more than 100m/s.
  4. Finishing Because of the high rolling speed of modern wire, the temperature drop in rolling is small or even temperature rolling, so the temperature of wire after finishing rolling is very high, in order to ensure the quality of the product, it is necessary to carry out loose coil control cooling. There are pearlite controlled cooling and martensite controlled cooling according to product use.

Its production process is as follows:

Billet into – > batch weighing to warehousing storage, the furnace before feeding to billet quality inspection, single weighing to heating, rolling in roughing – cut end – – pre finishing (water) between rolling – cut end – finishing (water) between rolling to wear water-cooling, spinning in circles to bulk volume and cooling set, cut the end – pressure baling – weighing up to discharge volume, put in storage
